Things to do in Southport

Southport have a very active entertainment events throughout the year at the Floral Hall, The Little Theatre and the The Atkinson. Within the Atkinson on the third floor there is an extensive collection of Egyptian artefacts and is well worth a visit along with other art exhibitions. There are also regular events in the Atkinson’s two small theatre venues from comedy to folk music.

Southport has a reputation for the number eateries to visit and all are worth exploring from Thai and Mexican cuisine through to traditional pub carveries. Mike and Alex can always recommend an establishment if you have a particular preference. One thing is sure you will certainly not be disappointed by the variety of cuisines available in Southport.

If you wish to travel further afield there are frequent and regular  services by bus and train to Liverpool and Chester. Liverpool has a wide variety of museums and shops on St Catherine’s dock. While Chester is famous for its zoo and the breeding programme for returning Orangutans to their natural habitat.
